First of all, thank you for being here and taking any amount of time out from your life to read what I have to say. Writing is a passion of mine, and my only motivation is to make people think, laugh, and perhaps look at the world a bit differently.
My whole life I’ve heard the same things over and over:
- “You’re a smart ass.” (usually from my father)
- “You think too much.” (usually from men)
- “You’re so right.” (by anyone that has any sense)
I used to see items #1 & #2 above as a negative. As I’ve aged and gained wisdom, I actually consider these two of my top selling points now. I am indeed a smart ass. My father is correct. However, I like to believe I’ve been able to morph this into a more productive version of smart-assness: wit. I absolutely do think too much. Every one of my exes is correct. Now, rather than feeling like this is hindering my happiness, I have gained a very real appreciation for my ability to look life through a much deeper lens than many choose to. I enjoy observing, analyzing, and dissecting the intricacies of human interaction more than most would ever understand. And lastly, yes, I am typically quite right. No further explanation needed here.
As I’ve grown into who I am now, I’ve seen a lot, done a lot, and thought a lot. I watch people closely. I pay attention to every detail. I thrive on hearing about others’ experiences. I live for real connections and deep conversations. This is my passion: relationships, love, trust issues, hate, breakups, sex, drama, growth, self-awareness, broken hearts, dating, dreams and goals… All of it.
For these reasons, I share my thoughts with you. I genuinely hope you enjoy what I have to say and if you don’t, there’s an X up on the top of the browser to get rid of me.
Enjoy!
